Who we are

Matdecision is driven by a technical, use-oriented approach: temperatures, polymer behaviour, FDM process limits, environment constraints (moisture, UV, heat), and cost / printability trade-offs. The goal is not to list product references, but to give you actionable benchmarks to decide or to frame a discussion with a supplier (R&D, procurement, professional makers).

Expertise and method

Content is built around real questions: mechanical vs static part, indoor vs outdoor, water or heat contact, flexibility needs, precision or finish constraints. Each sheet or guide aims to clarify when a material makes sense and when you should move on — for example from PLA to PETG, or from PETG to ASA for UV.

We favour comparability (tables, criteria named the same from page to page) so you can move from the hub guide to a material sheet to an application page without losing the thread.

Relationship with ImprimeZen3D

Matdecision is designed as an informative entry point to manufacturing when your project goes beyond picking a filament: prototyping to small series, technical parts, finishing, industrial constraints, or tight deadlines. In those cases, pointing to ImprimeZen3D (professional 3D printing service) can make sense — for example via a quote request or advice on a specific geometry.

This link stays transparent: Matdecision pages remain decision tools; manufacturing is a next step when you want it, not an obligation.

Independence and updates

Text aims for accuracy and consistency. It may evolve when new materials or field feedback justify it. Publication and update dates appear on the most sensitive content to show information freshness.
